Warrants
Generally, there are two types of warrants that get issued by the San Diego Superior Court.
Arrest warrants are issued when there is probable cause to believe the person noted on the warrant has committed an offense.
Bench warrants are issued when a person fails to appear in court or fails to complete something the court has ordered them to perform, such as enrollment in programs or submitting proof of completing a court ordered program.
Clearing a Warrant- Call Today!
It is important to address any warrants you may have to avoid an embarassing situation when your warrant is discovered. Even if you do not commit another offense, if anyone you are with commits even a minor traffic violation it could result in the police officer asking for your personal information and the discovery of a warrant. To avoid being taken into custody for something like this, you should seek to recall the warrant in court.
An experienced criminal defense attorney like William M. Concidine can answer your questions about warrants and can often clear a warrant the same day you call. Depending on the type of warrant, you may never have to go to court, and I will make the appearance for you.
Call now if you need help with recalling your warrant. You can call me at (619) 855-5157 or visit my contact page to write me an email.
How Do I Find Out If I Have a Warrant?
If you think you may have an outstanding warrant in San Diego County, the first place to check is the San Diego Sheriff's website to see if they list any warrants. All you need to do is type in your first and last name and it will list any warrants you may have. In addition, it will provide information about why you have a warrant. To check to see if you may have a warrant, click here.
The Sheriff's website may not include all warrants, such as federal warrants, or out of county warrants. In addition, the website is not always one hundred percent accurate and up to date.
The Sheriff's website does not generally list why you have the warrant, only that a warrant in fact exists, please contact William M. Concidine if you need assistance with learning why you have a warrant.
You do not want to have an outstanding warrant, so call today at (619) 855-5157.
